Were gonna party-like it's my birthday

I am a tad bit late in posting about my birthday celebration...but it was a great day and I have the best family and friends who made my day so special. Here is the recap:
I woke up the morning of the 29th not knowing what to expect about the day ahead of me. I was up super early before any one in the apt because I had to be to work bright and early (unfortunantly reality doesnt give you a break on your birthday). I opened my bedroom door to see a front room decorated with balloons and birthday signs written on my door, the bathroom mirror and even all over my car. It was awesome and had me grinning from ear to ear. It was a great start to the day.

I got to work and the day went on as most normal work days do but I got fun birthday messages and calls all day long to keep me entertained. (thanks, everyone!) After work I decided to go spend time with my awesome family. My mom is the best and she had the table all decorated with gifts and cupcakes. I of course got some fun and amazing gifts from my family, and I even got to open the package linds sent me. It was the cutest package ever filled with clothes, a movie, chocolate and of course "lindsey's list" of 22 things she loves about me. It was perfect and...that's when the tears came. Up until this point I had been doing good. I will admit I did attempt to call linds that morning thinking I would just get her old voicemail...but I was wrong. Some lady answerwed and Im pretty positive she thought I was crazy sauce. Oh well! But... I sure felt Linds' love ALL the way from Seattle.

The night continued at desert star where my awesome family took me to see the play "Legally Brunette" which happend to open the night of the 29th. Little did I know my mom had suprised me and invited my bff. I had no idea! (I love you kort)
After the play I came home to a suprise party at my apartment. Once again I had no idea! The apartment was even more decked out than it was that morning, cupcakes were awaiting me and people filled my tiny living room. It was a great night and tons of fun. My friends are the best! The exciting party ended with us crashing in the living room for the ultimate sleepover.
If you ask me this was the perfect way to end the day! I had an awesome day! I am so grateful for everyone who made my day special...it definently topped the charts and exceed every expectation.
Our party ended late which resulted in me getting practically no sleep and having to make it through a work day.
Good thing I was comfortable!
I may or may not have accidently showed up in these babies the next day!

(Obviously the Pepsi was needed)

I did it!!

Before I blog about my birthday celebration, I wanted you to see what I did for Lindsey....since you know we share the same birthday and all. This year for our birthday I knew Lindsey would be in the mission field so I wanted to do something for her she wouldnt expect. Here's what I came up with.

I made her a quilt!! This was my first experience making a quilt and it was a ton of work but so much fun. I want to thank my bestie Tiffany and my Mom for helping me sew, and put this cute quilt together in just a short 2 weeks. I love the way it turned out! I wanted something fun and funky and I got it! It will be perfect for all those rainy days! Now, I want one for myself...haha. I think I will slowly begin working on mine.
