My childhood love hits the big screen

My morning started with a gorgeous run down the canyon. I sadly didnt take any pictures because it scares me to death to run with my phone so maybe next time.

5 miles down American Fork Canyon. Check, check! Wanna feel good about running?? Run 5 miles down the canyon with an added bonus of gorgeous scenery. It works for me.

This is my third day this week that I didn't have to work. I could get use to only working two days a week! Unfortunantly my bank account wouldn't agree. Oh life...you are amusing sometimes.

After my run I came home and went back to sleep. (A typical linnea routine) I needed to be well rested for what is about to occur at the 12:03 am hour. Ooooh....What could it be might you ask?

Snow White and the Huntsman! I literally can NOT wait! It's looks awesome!

Plus, I have been a Snow White fan since I was a wee lad....so of course this would be on my summer "must see" list.

Oh Man!

I normally always sneak treats into the theater...(who doesn't) but guess what I found lurking at the bottom of my panty.

(It's a popcorn night!)
Refillable popcorn buckets! Excuse me I said that wrong...5 as in five, refillable movie theater popcorn buckets. Yes, I am taking one of these buckets to fill up with buttery goodness and I am going to share it all with myself...while enjoying the PG-13 version story of my favorite disney princess.

Kristen Stewart...You better not mess this up. Or I will personally hunt you down with my water gun.

Happy Birthday B!

This girl is 18....What???

This is how we spent the day she was born

Lunch at Tucanos....two reasons: 1.  free birthday meal card (duh), 2. Grilled pineapple and garlic sirloin, yes please! It was B's first time and we ate like "meat lovers"

After a delicious lunch with our family of four, I took B shopping. She got to spend some birthday money and the two of us needed to complete her birthday present from me.

Having some fun!

Birthday present complete.

But of course she needed a side kick

So excited....We are going to be tearin up the streets on these babies! I could possibly be breaking my left wrist this summer...oh but we are not hoping for that...NO we are NOT! Balance + Linnea has never equaled "good" but...too late! This longboard and I are going to become buddies!

Drinking Dr. Pepper....Cupcakes???

YES, These are her Birthday Cupcakes! How cute, right? I love them! We dug right into those after shopping. My mom also bought Dr. Pepper flavored icecream topping. It was like drinking straight DP but it was for icecream. Greatest combination ever.

Mom and Dad did participate in these birthday celebrations however, they some how didnt get photographed...hmmm.

Happy Birthday B! Love you times one billion Dr. Pepper Cupcakes :)

No early work day...so it started with a race

Our local city put on a free 5K this morning. I of course had to take advantage of a free race so I recruited the sister and some friends and we ran around the streets of American Fork bright and early this morning.

We had a good time! Right now running still feels "hard" and I have become quite humbled as I get back into it. However, I am loving these free races that are allowing me to train and put myself back into running shoes. Its slowly coming back and I look forward to my upcoming summer training.

After the race I went home and went back to bed. If I have a day off of work I am going to enjoy it by getting myself some extra sleep! I then just spent the rest of the day being lazy which was perfect.

Happy Memorial Day!

What a great day to reflect and remember those men and women who have and who are serving for this great country. I appreciate their personal sacrafice for the freedom we all now enjoy. May these men and women continue to be in our everday thoughts.

Bookin it for Boobies

Today I ran my first 5k of the season.

It was the Susan G. Komen race for the cure Salt Lake City!

Thousands gathered this morning at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City and...I was lucky enough to be in the crowd.
Did you know that every 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Also the
American Cancer Society estimates that in 2012, about 226,870 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and about 39,510 will die from breast cancer. These are not good odds! So...what was done today??
Today... we were all fighting..."fighting against breast cancer!"

At the starting line.... (getting ready to "Fight like a girl"....that's the only way to do it!)

after the race, built ford TOUGH!
My cute friend Jessica and I did the race together!
Ford was one of the many sponsors for this 5K.
Jessica works at a Ford dealership and they hooked us up with these cute t-shirts and payed our registration fee. It was awesome and I was super grateful! This 5k was not timed. Which was good for me. At this point in time I dont think I am ready to be competitive so it was nice to have a relaxed race. I was able to just get out there and enjoy every aspect of running. It was a great run! Now, Im excited to get back into racing. (I forgot how much I loved it )
This was one of the funnest experiences I have had running a 5k. The organization for this event was awesome, the route was great, and of course the crowd topped it all!
This 5k will most definitely make it on my list of races for 2013. I can't wait to do it again!
