Count backwards 10,9,8....

And gone. As simple as that! So I had surgery yesturday and Im going to jot down this lovely first surgery expierence. First off, let me backup. In case you haven't heard I got in a total intense street fight with the Ex bf. Yep, the two of us went at it, fists at all. I got him pretty dang good seriously if you think I look bad you should see him. Haha!! Nah, that's not what really went down let's just say im a "world class" biker. I was out doing my thing lost my balance and of course stetched my arm out so I could use my wrist to catch myself. Bad, Bad idea. What was I thinking...my wrist could have never supported my fall. Well I guess I was thinking I had much more power in my arm then I really do. Cause I freaking broke my wrist in three places oh and did I mention it's my right arm. Yeah, simple things have become much more difficult than normal but im managing alright. Well I knew as soon as I fell that my wrist was broken heck it was bent, and bulging out, and just hanging there. I was in so much pain for a few seconds then to cope with the pain my body went into shock. I immediently got extemely hot, dizzy, and lightheaded. At this point I totally forgot about my arm and was trying not to pass out. Finally after getting home and under control I once again realized my arm was aching so off to the instacare I went and sure enough it was broken. Later on that week I went to the orthepedic office and it was decided  that the best option for me was surgery. They needed to put a plate and screws in my arm to fix the damage I had done. Plus, this again is my dominant hand I cant take any chances of my arm not healing right. That would not be good. Wednesday morning was my surgery. I got up bright and early and headed to orem community. I got registered and prepped for surgery right away. I was given a insulated gown to change into, wonderful socks, and some under shorts. I was looking good! The nurse came in and started my IV, then the anesthesiologist came in and gave me an axillary nerve block. Coolest thing ever! He basically stuck a needle under the skin by my armpit and blocked my axillary nerve. This was done so I would feel nothing in my arm for 18hrs. It was crazy! My whole right arm started twitching then from my armpit to my fingertips I couldn't feel a thing. It was great. After the nerve block I was rolled into the OR given general anesthia and I was out. 2hrs later I was woken up and feeling a little out of it but everything was over. Heck, that was the easiest thing I have ever done, best nap ever!! Haha. My recovery went really smooth. I was rolled back into my room where my mom was waiting for patiently for me. I requested some fluids..grape juice. Haha yep and guessed what happened with that one I freaking up chucked grape juice flavor. Other than this little mishap I went home feeling pretty coherht. I was given pain meds up to my eyeballs and my arm was numb so I was feeling nothing...which was bliss! I have just been relaxing and chilling at home, taking it easy and of course milking this for everything it's worth!!
My Undershorts!! After the surgery the only thing I cared about was taking these shorts home. HaHa they were my favorite part of surgery. Yes, they are pretty much made of nothing but I sported these beauties all day long!!

Round 2

Marathon Round 2... I have been thinking about giving the Saint George marathon another shot for a few months now finally the last day I was able to register I decided...why not. The Saint George Marathon has so many runner's register that they have to cap the race at 7,400 runners. All the runner's chosen are selected on a lottery basis. Monday May 9th the results were posted online as to who was chosen. I went to search for my name not once but multiple times and everytime and it said "sorry you have not been selected." I was a little bummed but overall fine with the results. Yes I did want to run but I felt kind of relieved. I gave up on the idea and just decided to chose other races to run. However, Wednesday morning I was checking my email and I recieved an email from the marathon staff stating "congratulations runner you have been chosen as a particpant in the 2011 marathon." At this point I was a little confused. Was I in or was I not in. I didnt know! I decided to contact the marathon staff and ask them. They then informed me that I was in! I guess when I registered I put my first inital that is why I was unable to find my name online. Funny thing is I went to search for my name again and I still never found it. HA HA. Oh well! Im in! I couldn't be more nervous, overwhelmed or excited. I cant wait to do this again, and hopefully do it better! I have a goal in mind and I am going to try my hardest to reach it. Plus I need to find my love for running again and this will be the exact race to do that for me! My Saint George Marathon race round 2 is going down Oct 1st 2011. Let the training begin!

Vegas...was graced with my presence!

Celine was back!! And... I wasn't going to miss it for the world!

(my cute guess sunglasses)
Saturday day April 9th (umm, yeah way behind) was the day of the concert. That morning me, jodi, rachel, jordyn, and bonnie made our way down to vegas. We left the snow and hit sunshine in vegas! Wow, that drive was a trek though all sorts of weather!! Plus, craziest thing ever we passed the sister wives van on our way down there. Ha ha!! Anyway, we made it to vegas that afternoon and the first thing we did was hit up some premiere outlet shopping! We had a blast! I even found myself an adorable pair of guess sunglasses that I just had to have, they were just a small fortune but Im in love. Now my second purchase was probably one of the stupidest things I have ever done!! Me and rachel got sucked "somehow" into buying this silk wrap that apparently you can tie into about 10+ different dresses. Cool, right? Yeah, well I thought it was. It was a benefit that I was the model and I got to see how all of the styles looked and I will admit I kinda like it. However, I told myself  I wasnt going to buy it but like I said "somehow" I walked away with it. Stupid, I know, I still regret it!! Ha Ha funny thing is Me and Rach got home and tried for about 2hrs to figure out how to tie it and we couldnt do it. So, basically I have an over priced piece of silk in my closet! Ugh, we just have to laugh about it now! Anyway, after our shopping adventure we made our way back to the hotel to doll ourselves up for the night. And, that's exactly what we did. We looked hot! Then, It was off to see Celine!! Oh my gosh...she was unbelievable!! I cant even begin to describe her concert. It was amazing! She sang many of her top hits including, my heart will go on. Which was her final song and it was out of this world! Her outfits and backgrounds were gorgeous and fit every song perfectly! She even did various tributes to many artists, she sang a journey song, and duet with "stevie wonder" and my personal favorite was her tribute to michael jackson! She sounded just like him! It was epic and I loved every second! Ah, I would do it again...like umm right now! So, it was worth every single cent!

Well, after the most amazing concert ever we decided to eat at serendipity. Second best thing of
the night! Best frozen hot chocolate ever!! Plus, It's serendipity who would'nt be in love... ha ha haven't you seen the movie? I personally loved it!! Probably because that is my most favorite movie of all time and I just had to eat there, no questions asked!! Then we of course walked the strip, had a dance party in front of the bellagio and took our night in vegas for everything it was worth! It was a great little getaway and we had a blast! Even though we spent more time driving to vegas, then actually in vegas, we had a great time!! Our second trip is in the planning stages!

The blogger of this blog is coming back

A welcome back to me!!

In case you or I forgot, my life always goes a little like this:

"Life is All About How you Handle Plan B
Plan A is always my first choice.
You know, the one where
Everything works out to be
Happily ever-after.
But more often than not,
I find myself dealing with
The upside-down, inside-out version --
Where nothing goes as it should.
It's at this point that the real
Test of my character comes in..

Do I sink, or do I swim?
Do I wallow in self pity and play the victim,
Or simply shift gears
And make the best of the situation?
The choice is all mine...
....and I am back to start blogging about plan B, cause that's the life of me and im gonna tell ya about it!

Grab a MASK! There is a Mascurade ball.

A few weeks back my apartment complex threw a mascurade ball. So..of course we had to be there! It was way fun!! We actually probably spent more time getting ready for the ball then the time we were actually at the ball. That's okay though. We had a good time! I totally forgot how fun it is to get yourself dolled up! We looked pretty dang good. My friend kortney let me borrow one of her beautiful dresses, rachel did my makeup and it looked awesome seriously (see pics below) and we have the hobby lobby to thank for our beautiful masks. Combine those three things dresses, makeup, masks and what do ya get?
three good looking gals!
Me, and just a few of my awesome roomies!
the whole ensemble! I loved it!!
Getting dolled up is fun and we had a great time dancing around the high tech dance floor aka the gym. I think we had the most fun though at the chocolate fountain. Yes, they had a chocolate fountain! This chocolate fountain included cinnamon bears and do you know what you get when you combine a cinnamon bear and chocolate? Well, yes The obvious answer of a chocolate covered cinnamon bear but did you also know that your getting the best treat ever. Ah, it was my favorite part of the whole evening!!!

Bored, YES!
Give your hair a protein Treatment. That’s what we did!
We all at one point we have all mixed various food items together and created beauty products. Who would have ever thought this was possible? Or who came up with this bizarre theory?  “Oh my gosh, guys I have this fabulous idea. Let’s open up the fridge and or pantry and whip up together avocado and oatmeal and smash it all over our faces. Only because it will get rid of our acne.”  Ha, HA! Yes, if you think about it these home remedy treatments they are a little crazy, but you really are the crazy person if you have never done one! I promise you a least every girl has had some Young women activity centered around this or have found themselves browsing the internet for the newest homemade hair and facial recipes. Well I am guilty! I have splashed weird ingredients all over my face. Believe or Not! Last Thursday however was my first hair experiment. It’s really simple.  Take an egg, about a ½ cup of hair conditioner, and a cap full of oil. Beat together and rub that slimy “whatever” all over your hair. Let it sit for about 15mins and then be sure to rinse in cold water or the egg will cook. Wha-la you just gave your hair a protein treatment. Ain’t that something!
Here's the proof!
Be careful! It can get a little drippy!
